Borders Book Signing 2008

Last night I had a book signing at Borders in Century City. Planning events like these requires work, and I appreciate everyone who provided their support.

The event started with refreshments for guests. Next, I shared with the audience the story behind why I wrote the book. I then held a Q & A.

I looked around and saw so many familiar faces, including friends whom I haven't seen in years. One couple learned about the event that Borders posted and showed up to re-introduce themselves to me after 17 years had gone by.

When I reflect on my support system, it's hard not to boast.

The loyalty that my inner circle and I share is a prized and rare gift. I count not only family, but colleagues and clients among the individuals who form this network.

There are so many people I'd like to thank for the event last night. For now, I'll limit it to Pate Stevens, one of my top agents who works in the Beverly Hills Nourmand & Associates office.

He exemplifies loyalty. So many last minute matters need to be taken care of before an event like this, and I counted on his quick thinking and generous spirit to make the event a success. I enjoyed myself immensely, and I know that this was largely as a result of his behind-the-scenes effort.

You can view all the photos from my event on my Flickr page. For now, I've loaded a few for your viewing pleasure.
